Modded ENGL POWERBALL II by German Amp Tech Thomas Buchallik

I am selling my ENGL Powerball 2 amplifier. The amp has 4 channels – Clean, Crunch and 2 Lead Channels.

The amp is in very good condition. It was modded by a very good German amp tech. Also, you can play the amp at home at lower volume and it is still sounding good – this was part of the modification. If you want to play it very loud in a practice room or live, you would need to re-bias the amplifier. In this context, it is a perfect studio amp.

It has an inbuilt noise gate and a power tube monitor. In case one of the tubes breaks, an LED will indicate it. It was never a feature I really needed, but it’s certainly nice to have.

The amp is very versatile! Although you will find this amplifier most often in the metal genre – it may even sound better for other styles such as rock and blues. Very nice clean sound, channel 2 Crunch and Channel Lead Channel 4 are my personal favorite channels. You can get any sound out of this amp!

On top of that, you will get a protection case for the head.

The tubes are original ENGL pre-amp and power tubes. I selected the best tubes available. They have been in the amp for a while – so the amp may need a tube change at some point in the future. But right now it is working perfectly fine.
