The Son of Blues is a hand wired point-to-point dual overdrive that features Rawk D's "The Rawd" and "King of Blues" into one versatile custom overdrive pedal.

The Rawd, placed on the left side ("Son" side) is a point-to-point take on the classic mid focused Screamer / Etermity overdrive anatomy. With a fair ammount of gain and great dynamic overdrive response courtesy of LED diodes in the clipping section, plus additional features that make for one versatile tone device. Controls are Volume, Tone, Drive, Clip and Fat. The Tone knob is an active tone control that adds treble, and can provide a very effective treble boost at higher settings on the dial, while giving a smoother dark mid-focused character at lower settings. The Drive knob has plenty of gain on tap. The 2-way Clip switch selects between symmetrical LED clipping for plenty of headroom and dynamic response, and asymmetrical clipping for thick plexi amp style overdrive with more gain. The 3 way Fat switch has Normal, Fat and Fatter modes: Normal is classic Tubescreamer frequency response, bass are pretty much cut and mids are heavily focused, Fat gives a good balanced tone for most guitar-amp combos and Fatter gives plenty of bassy overdriven tone, ideal for low output ice picky bridge single coils. Overall plenty of features from 3 knobs and 2 switches to provide a wide range of overdrive or boost flavors!

The King of Blues, placed on the right side ("Blues" side) is an incredibly dynamic overdrive recreating one of the most famous overdrive pedals, the Bluesbraker MKI. The Clip switch toggles between booster and overdrive mode. The overdrive mode is the stock Bluesbraker. In booster mode the clipping diodes are lifted, overall gain reduced, overall output increased and the effect becomes a super dynamic overdrive that stays clean when picking sofly and breaks up when digging in hard. The rest are the standard controls for Drive, Tone and Volume.

An order toggle switch in the middle selects the effect that goes first in the signal chain adding even more to the overall versatility and wide range of tonal options provided by this Device of Rawk!
