Parece que la cosa se está calentando tanto en EEUU que hasta Fender cree que tiene algo que decir al respecto:
No one could’ve predicted how difficult this year has been.
We face a global pandemic and are still adjusting to its implications. We’ve had loved ones die from Covid-19.
We face unprecedented levels of unemployment and the longest lines at our nation’s food banks in recent history.
And to top it all, we saw yet another unarmed African American man killed, in front of our very eyes.
People are angry today for any number of good reasons, but our African American family and friends have more reason than most.
We will not tolerate racism. We must finish the work the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement began decades ago as it’s painfully clear there is much work still to be done.
Fender is fortunate to be in the music business and music would be nothing without the blood, sweat and tears of African American musicians then and now.
Fender’s mission to support artists at every stage has never been more important. We stand proudly with our artists, our employees, our partners, our friends and our families, in the fight against inequality and injustice.
We must continue to amplify voices of protest, voices of healing, voices of love, voices of peace but most of all, voices of change.
